today, i traded in my hot rod dodge dakota V8 4x4 on a 2011 honda civic with less than 15,000 miles.

*moment of silence for the gas hog*

things happen for a reason, and with that, that's my last connection to being what i was. fwtallgirl says i look more adult already. wow and le damn.

my truck is trying to go the way of the dodo.

seriously thinking about trading it for a honda civic.

i don't want to do it; i love my truck... but i can no longer afford to fix it AND continue making payments on it at the same time.

i am saddened by this, but i don't know what else to do.

...because i almost wrecked my truck sunday morning on the way home from work. it rained just enough for the roads to be slick, and i made a left turn at a stop light. that turn ended up being a 360 complete with squealing tires. i was able to stop before i jumped the curb and hit the posts for the overpass but still... scary shit. i wasn't far ( Read more... )

y'all know i love my truck more than life itself, right?

i went to get an oil change and walked out with a $500 estimate for a replacement water pump and thermostat. did i mention that my key fob stopped working as soon as we got to texas and that's another $300 to be reprogrammed? i'll open the door manually, thank you. fuck that noise.
